Asmuyao's Anatomy
At Asmuyao Community School, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) has been adopted as the school’s Curriculum Standards. Priority standards have been identified for all general education courses; English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Quarterly Curriculum Maps have been developed for each course identifying the Priority Standards. Student are provided with course portfolios that align with these curriculum maps. Assessments are administered for every 0.5 credit. For general education requirements, a pre, mid, and post assessment is administered. All other subjects require a mid and final exam to exit the course.
During consultation sessions, student progress is monitored. Teachers discuss expectations, provide reinforcement and assistance with both monitor and student.
Student assignments are designed according to expectations and may be modified as needed to ensure student success in meeting standard expectations.
At Asmuyao Community School, students' are afforded the opportunity to personalize their learning and still meet standard requirements.
Courses
